Once there was an old man, we’ll call him S^t Pirin who lived out of the village in a little cottage surrunded by pea stalks! The children of the village were very mean and sneaked into the garden to take

peas from the pod and pennies from the penny jar

One day they broke his favourite teapot. The old man’s friend the badger was watching. Next time they tried to come in the badger had turned himself into a tea pot and bit the children.

Now would they say sorry I wonder?

S^t Pirin is said to have been best friends with a badger and this story was reworked to tell on S^t Pirin’s day
